Additionally, SNOOZ Pro includes improved app functionality including smart-plug compatibility (i.e., SNOOZ Pro can be set to turn on when given power from a smart-plug), the option for up to 7 timers per day (up from 1 on SNOOZ Original), over-the-air updates, and automatic daylight savings time adjustment.

Technically, “white noise” is a random mixture of sound frequencies produced at equal intensity (like an old TV or FM radio static) and is fairly displeasing to the ear. 

However, white noise in the context of sleep devices (perhaps better termed “colloquial white noise”), refers to a mix of frequencies biased to the lower end of the spectrum. In this way, the sound is more pleasing to the ear while still masking environmental disturbances.

SNOOZ Pro can help you fall asleep and stay asleep by reducing environmental disturbances. 

By increasing the baseline level of sound in a room, SNOOZ Pro reduces the difference between room noise and a “containment noise,” thereby masking many noises and reducing the “startle factor” of others.

Nope! The free SNOOZ app provides extra features (such as a remote control, fade in / fade out scheduling, and nursery calibration). SNOOZ Pro works perfectly fine without ever being connected to a smartphone. Tone and volume can be adjusted on the device itself.
