Important Safety Recall Information
Breez Recall and Replacement
Description
On April 9,  2026, SNOOZ, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, announced a voluntary recall of first generation Breez fans sold in the U.S. and Canada.
As part of the recall, SNOOZ is offering a free second generation Breez fan to customers with first generation products.
Reason for Recall
The power connector inside the fan can corrode and cause the fan to overheat, posing a risk of fire. SNOOZ has received six reports of the fans overheating and smoking with one report of fire. There have been no injuries or damage to property other than to the Breez unit itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is SNOOZ recalling Breez?
SNOOZ is voluntarily recalling certain Breez models manufactured from May 2023 through August 2025, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, because the electrical components on Breez can corrode, causing the power connect to fail and overheat, posing a fire hazard. SNOOZ has received six reports in the U.S. and no reports in Canada.
What’s different on Breez 2nd Generation Units?
The removable barrel jack power connector has been replaced with a fixed terminal-to-terminal style connector that is enclosed in a sealed housing. All metal parts have been upgraded to stainless steel, and the new design has passed thirdparty testing to ensure it is not susceptible to corrosion.
Which serial numbers are affected by the recall?
The recall applies to Breez fans with serial numbers beginning with BZ10 (format: BZ10XXXXXXXX) or BZ02 (format: BZ02XXXXXXXX) or KTCD (format: KTCDXXXXXXXXX). You can find the serial number on the underside of the wooden base. These units also use a removable barreljack–style power connector.
Do I need to return my old Breez unit?
No. To receive a free replacement Breez unit, you only need to send a photo of the adapter showing the model number and all printed information, and that the power cord has been cut.
Can I get a refund for my Breez?
No. The only approved remedy is a free replacement Breez.
Is there other information on the reported incidents?
In each reported incident, the consumers were located near the ocean. Upon inspecting the returned units, we observed rust and corrosion, suggesting that exposure ocean air may exacerbate damage.
My Breez looks fine. Can I continue to use my Breez?
No. If you have a recalled unit, please stop using it immediately, and contact us for a free replacement unit.
